A Personal Note from Michael Bodack, CEO of Sequoia Brokerage Services

I started out in this business working for New York Life as a career agent before I left to start Sequoia Financial Partners, LLC as an employee benefits consulting firm. Sequoia Financial still has a significant roll of clients with medical and other group insurance products.

When Josh and I founded Sequoia Brokerage, it was always our intention of finding a home for these clients as we continued to focus our attention to our independent brokers in an effort to bring the very best products, ideas and strategies to you.

That search is now over. On January 1st, Josh and I sold Sequoia Financial Partners, LLC to York International Agency, LLC. This sale will allow Josh and I to spend more time focusing on you, our independent producers.

Why am I telling you this? What does this mean for you?

I am reaching out and telling you this for several reasons:

  • WE ARE RETAINING 100% OF OUR STAFF!!! That's right, its business as usual at Sequoia and you will be able to continue to enjoy the personal touch you have come to know and depend on. What's more, you'll be getting more of Josh and I as we have been able to enhance our support staff tremendously.
  • We're UPGRADING!!! Many of you have already seen we've undergone a massive systems upgrade in the last 3 months to handle your cases more efficiently and pro-actively. You may also have noticed we've gotten much more streamlined in our Annuity offerings and for those of you who haven't, check out www.everyannuity.com. We have more major initiatives that we'll be rolling out over the next several months to help you sell more life insurance and get better offers. We'll also be introducing 2 new carriers in the next 3 months with an eye toward helping you get back to the basics of life insurance selling.
  • We're getting new expertise!! We'll be adding new staff in the coming months to help bring you better ideas, more resources, innovative sales programs and unparalleled service. I'm talking about advanced market consultants, in-house underwriters, and packaged sales programs that can help you sell more permanent insurance.
  • We are going to be moving. We've loved being in the city these past 10 years but as part of our sale York has offered us much less expensive facilities in Yonkers, NY. For most of you this will make very little difference as we do most our business by email and fax but for some who regularly visit our Manhattan address across from Macy's we'll hope you decide to come visit us in Yonkers soon. We expect to make the move sometime in March.

This is a trust business for every relationship from the client all the way to the carrier, we all know that. We do not have contracts with any of you and we value that you have and continue to put your faith in us these many years. It is our intention to continue to grow and bring new products and services to the marketplace for you and we want to sincerely thank you for your continued support.

I am very interested in hearing from all of you about your thoughts, your ideas, and especially ANY concerns you may have. I want to assure you Sequoia Brokerage Services has never been stronger and we are excited about our future together with you, our most valued relationship!
